Dr. Durell Dancy
General DentistDr. Durell, cosmetic and general dentist, was born and raised on the westside of Indianapolis. He attended Crispus Attucks Middle School and Arsenal Tech for high school. He later completed his Chemistry and Biology degrees at IUPUI and continued on to a Post Baccalaureate program at the University of California San Francisco focused on dental school entry. Dr. Durell earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the illustrious Indiana University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Durell started working alongside Dr. Austin at Merit Dental, learning the skills of Cosmetic Dentistry, and also performed contract dentistry with Dr. Carter in the statewide county jail system, where he gained his love for helping the underserved community.
Dr. Shira Dancy
Pediatric DentistDr. Shira completed her Biology degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD). Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Shira specialized in the oral health of children by obtaining her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and completing her advanced pediatric dentistry residency at IUSD and Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN.
Her mission is to provide compassionate, kid-friendly dental care while empowering young patients and their families through education on lifelong oral hygiene and healthy habits. Dr. Shira practices evidence-based pediatric dentistry and remains dedicated to continuing education to ensure the highest standard of care for every child she serves.
Scheri Bailey
Licensed Dental HygienistAn Indianapolis native, Scheri began working as a Licensed Dental Hygienist in 2015 after graduating from IU School of Dentistry. Dental Hygiene became her chosen platform to combine her business acumen and passion for personal care; she truly believes you’re never truly dressed without a healthy smile. Through patient education, product recommendations, and thorough oral health care, Scheri takes great pride in influencing optimal oral health for her patients.
Lidia
Dental HygienistLidia’s passion for contributing to the overall health of families in her community is why she chose dental hygiene. Since she graduated from IU’s dental hygiene program in 2014, Lidia has also spent her time traveling and exploring the city, with her family and friends.
Zakia
Expanded Functions Dental AssistantZakia has been an EFDA since 2017. She has an associates degree that she obtained from the International Business College in Indianapolis. Zakia has explored many branches of Dentistry including practical care in states like Georgia and North Carolina. With her vibrant energy, Zakia can make your dental visit feel like a therapeutic release. She is very comforting to patients, assuring them of patient care standards we abide by. Zakia is cureently studying to further her career in the dental industry, hoping to trade her lab jacket for a white coat.
Isaac Dickey
Practice CoordinatorA native of Brookhaven Mississippi, Isaac has been in the dental field since 2000. He has worked in various general dental offices as well as speciality offices. Isaac has several years of experience as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant, Clinical Lead and has also worked as a Digital Imaging Specialist. One of the most rewarding things about being in the Dental field is seeing a patient who comes to the office apprehensive due to past experiences become extremely motivated and excited about coming to the Dentist. It is his goal to help the patient understand the importance of dental care and to aid in creating the most comfortable and inviting environment possible. In his leisure, Isaac enjoys bodybuilding, singing and cooking.
